Elijah Andrews

Program Coordinator, RIVET

Elijah Andrews brings a genuine passion for workforce development to his role as Program Coordinator with RIVET. Day to day, he facilitates virtual reality career exploration and training sessions, provides one-on-one case management for participants, and builds partnerships with employers and community organizations across the region. He coordinates outreach events and works to connect participants with education, training, and employment opportunities—always focused on making sure each person has the support and resources they need to take the next step toward their goals.

A lifelong resident of the Upper Cumberland, Elijah graduated from Liberty University with an Associate of Science in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in the same field. His path into workforce development began when he helped launch the Tennessee Youth Employment Program (TYEP), which provides paid internship opportunities for youth and young adults ages 14–24 throughout the Upper Cumberland. He went on to serve as a Career Advisor for the WIOA program for two years, helping individuals overcome barriers to employment, explore career pathways, and connect with training and workforce opportunities. Those experiences sparked a passion that ultimately led him to RIVET.

What drew Elijah to RIVET was its innovative approach—combining technology with workforce development in a way that truly changes lives. The most rewarding part of his work, he says, is watching participants discover careers they never knew existed, gain confidence in themselves, and leave excited about their future. “It’s incredible to watch someone realize they have opportunities they hadn’t considered before,” he shares. His hope for every participant is that they walk away with a greater sense of confidence and direction, knowing their future is full of possibilities and that resources exist to help them get there.

Outside of work, Elijah recently got engaged to his fiancée, Audrey. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, hiking, and exploring new technology. He’s also deeply committed to his community, always looking for ways to build connections with local businesses and organizations and to make a lasting, positive impact where he lives.
