Building Digital Skills: Computer Basics Class Scheduled in Cookeville

The American Job Center will offer a Computer Basics class on January 12, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 620 South Jefferson Avenue. This free, beginner-level class is designed for individuals who want to build confidence using a computer for everyday tasks and job searching.

Participants will receive hands-on guidance with foundational skills such as using a mouse and keyboard, navigating the internet, managing email, and opening and saving documents. These skills are essential for applying for jobs online, communicating with employers, and accessing workforce resources.

The class is open to all job seekers and is especially helpful for those with limited computer experience or anyone looking to refresh their basic digital skills. Instruction is provided in a supportive, welcoming environment, and no prior computer knowledge is required.
