Free August Workshops Help Job Seekers Strengthen Interview and Resume Skills

Finding a job requires more than submitting applications. It takes preparation, confidence, and the ability to showcase your skills to potential employers. This week, the American Job Center in Crossville is offering several free workshops to help job seekers do exactly that.

On Wednesday, August 20, Tammy will lead two Interview Preparation workshops from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Participants will learn techniques for answering interview questions, communicating their experience effectively, and building confidence before meeting with employers.

The learning continues on Thursday, August 21, when Brenda hosts a Resume Preparation workshop from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The session will focus on developing resumes that clearly communicate skills, work history, and qualifications while helping applicants stand out in today's competitive job market.

These workshops are part of the American Job Center's ongoing commitment to helping individuals prepare for meaningful employment. Workforce Connections supports these efforts by connecting job seekers with career services while helping employers throughout the Upper Cumberland build a skilled workforce.

The workshops are free and open to the public at the American Job Center, 60 Ridley Street, Suite 101, Crossville. Interested participants can reserve a seat by calling 931-484-7456.

Taking advantage of these free resources can help job seekers gain the confidence and skills needed to pursue new career opportunities.
