RIVET Brings Virtual Reality Career Exploration Back to Putnam County Library June 25
Residents interested in exploring new career opportunities are invited to experience workforce development in a whole new way when RIVET Virtual Reality Career Exploration returns to the Putnam County Library on June 25.
the event will gives participants the opportunity to step inside careers through immersive virtual reality simulations. Rather than simply reading about occupations or watching videos, attendees can experience what it is like to work in a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, skilled trades, transportation, and other high-demand fields.
The hands-on format allows participants to interact with career environments in a way that traditional career exploration tools cannot. Whether someone is entering the workforce for the first time, considering a career change, or simply curious about local opportunities, RIVET provides a unique opportunity to explore options in an engaging and interactive setting.
In addition to the virtual reality experiences, attendees can learn about workforce resources, training programs, and career pathways available throughout the Upper Cumberland.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 25, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Putnam County Library, located at 50 E. Broad Street in Cookeville. Participation is free.
As Workforce Connections continues expanding access to innovative workforce tools, events like RIVET are helping individuals discover new possibilities and connect with careers that match their interests and skills.
