Cookeville AJC Supports Rescue Mission Participants on the Path to Employment
The Cookeville American Job Center is proud to announce the successful completion of the second round of its Job Readiness Program, provided at no cost to participants of the Cookeville Rescue Mission.
This program is designed to help individuals build the skills and confidence needed to successfully enter or re-enter the workforce. Already, two of the four most recent participants have secured employment—a strong indication of the program’s value and the dedication of those involved.
Participants take part in a series of interactive workshops focused on essential job skills such as workplace communication, professionalism, and interview readiness. Personalized support is also provided for resume development, helping individuals effectively highlight their strengths and experiences.
The program concludes with mock interviews, giving participants the opportunity to practice in a realistic setting while receiving constructive feedback and coaching from American Job Center staff. These sessions help prepare them for real-world interviews with greater confidence.
