What We Do at Workforce Connections in the Upper Cumberland

At Workforce Connections, we’re focused on one thing: helping people in the Upper Cumberland move forward. Whether that’s finding a job, getting connected to training, or building a career path, we’re here to support individuals—and the employers who depend on them.

As the administrative arm of the Workforce Development Board, we manage the American Job Center here in our region. That means we provide hands-on services to job seekers like resume help, career counseling, job search tools, and training opportunities. It also means we work behind the scenes to build strong programs and partnerships that make a lasting impact.

Jeremiah Miller, our Assistant Director, leads efforts around grant funding, program development, and overseeing our staff. Under his leadership, we’ve strengthened initiatives like Empower Upper Cumberland and the Rivet Program, which offer wraparound services and targeted support to help individuals overcome barriers to employment.

Mallory Copeland serves as our Business Liaison for the Empower Program, connecting with employers across the region to identify strong job opportunities for our participants. She plays a vital role in making sure we’re not just helping people find any job—but the right job with employers who truly value their workforce.
