Soft Skills Event to Support Job Seekers on January 22

Workforce Connections will help to host a Soft Skills workshop on January 22 at the cookeville AJC, offering job seekers an opportunity to strengthen the interpersonal and professional skills that employers value across industries. The event is designed to support individuals who want to improve how they communicate, collaborate, and present themselves in the workplace.

Soft skills such as teamwork, time management, adaptability, and effective communication play a critical role in job success. During the workshop, participants will gain practical insight into how these skills influence hiring decisions and workplace performance. The session will focus on real-world applications that attendees can use immediately in interviews and on the job.

The event is open to individuals at all stages of their career journey, including those entering the workforce for the first time, returning after a break, or seeking to advance in their current roles. By emphasizing skills that extend beyond technical knowledge, Workforce Connections aims to help participants build confidence and strengthen their overall job readiness.

Community members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to invest in their professional development. The Soft Skills workshop will be on January 22 from 11 to noon at 620 S Jefferson Ave.
