RIVET Virtual Reality Career Exploration Events Coming to Communities Across the Upper Cumberland

Career exploration is taking a high-tech turn this summer as Workforce Connections brings its RIVET Virtual Reality Career Exploration events to communities across the Upper Cumberland.

Designed for everyone, these free events provide an interactive way to explore careers through immersive virtual reality simulations. Participants will have the opportunity to experience different occupations firsthand, learn about local workforce resources, and gain confidence as they consider future education and career pathways.

Unlike traditional career fairs or presentations, RIVET allows individuals to step into virtual work environments and experience what various careers look and feel like. From healthcare and manufacturing to skilled trades and other high-demand industries, participants can explore occupations in a hands-on, engaging format that helps bring career possibilities to life.

In addition to career exploration opportunities, Empower participants who attend will receive a milestone for participation, helping them continue progressing toward their personal and professional goals.

Workforce Connections developed the RIVET initiative to expand access to career information and expose individuals to opportunities that may not have otherwise been considered. By combining technology with workforce development, the program helps participants make more informed decisions about training, education, and employment opportunities available throughout the region.

Upcoming RIVET events will be held in several Upper Cumberland communities, including Crossville, Cookeville, Monterey, Sparta, Celina, and Lafayette throughout June and early July.
