The Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Board is on the lookout for a Director of Compliance/Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) – which is a vital player in keeping our programs aligned, our stakeholders connected, and our operations running smoothly as part of the Executive Team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Compliance & Oversight: You’ll stay ahead of federal and state regulations that govern workforce innovation by staying ahead of regulatory adherence, program accountability and risk management to ensure the local workforce board and it subrecipients operate within performance and fiscal standards.
Audit Coordination: You’ll maintain organized records and monitoring reports while serving as the point of contact during Single Audits, State Monitoring, and Federal reviews.
Training & Support: You’ll provide regular guidance or training sessions on WIOA eligibility, documentation, case notes, fiscal rules, and equal opportunity requirements while also providing technical support to resolve compliance weakness before any findings can occur.
Monitoring & Reporting: You’ll review participant files, work with analysts, and help track our progress with direct oversight of all program monitoring, fiscal monitoring and create corrective action plans.
Communication & EO Oversight: You’ll lead Equal Opportunity efforts and ensure transparency by managing reports and public updates across digital platforms.
Policy & Provider Management: You’ll help draft and update local program policies and manage the Eligible Training Provider List to reflect the best educational options in our region.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in business admin or related field (or equivalent experience).
Sharp eye for detail, strong ethics, and a passion for teamwork.
Excellent communicator—written, verbal, and digital.
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools.
A valid TN driver’s license – some travel is required
Bonus Points For:
Experience with WIA/WIOA compliance
Background in grant management
