American Job Center Hosts Veteran’s Resource and Hiring Event in Cookeville

On January 15, 2026, the American Job Center will bring together employers, veteran service organizations, and community partners for a Veteran’s Resource and Hiring Event at Central City Church, located in the Old Cookeville Mall Building at 400 Dubois Road, Suite A19. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and is open to the public.

This gathering is designed to connect veterans, and their families, with employers ready to hire and organizations prepared to offer support. From 10:00 to 11:30 AM, veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and National Guard members will receive priority access to employers and resources. After that time, the event is fully open to all job seekers in the community.

The American Job Center aims to make this an environment where veterans can explore career paths, ask questions, and build relationships. Veteran service organizations will be on site to assist with benefits navigation, employment programs, and other specialized support services. Employers from across the region will be available to share information about job openings and hiring needs.

To provide an added gesture of appreciation, free haircuts will be offered to veterans on-site courtesy of Cookeville Cosmetology School. A food truck will also be available during the event for those wanting lunch while they explore opportunities and make connections. The location is accessible from the Interstate-facing side of the building, offering easy entry and ample parking for attendees.

Workforce Connections is proud to highlight and support the efforts of the American Job Center as they continue to invest in those who have served our country. Events like this help ensure veterans can transition into civilian employment with confidence and community behind them.
